Dan brings twenty years of experience in substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion, with work spanning local, state, and federal levels. He was recently recognized as one of Rhode Island’s top young leaders with a “40 Under 40” award from Providence Business News, as well as the C. Everett Koop Unsung Hero Award, named in honor of the late U.S. Surgeon General for his contributions to tobacco control and prevention efforts nationwide.

Dan serves C3 Wellbeing as Director of Prevention, where he oversees our team of prevention specialists, two of Rhode Island’s Regional Prevention Coalitions, and supports the organization’s statewide Student Assistance program.

Dan is an Advanced Certified Prevention Specialist with degrees in Public Health, Marketing, and Business Management. He has extensive experience as a nonprofit Executive Director, public health lobbyist, grant management and oversight, and community organizing.

Dan serves in several leadership roles, including as a Governor Appointee to the Governor’s Council on Behavioral Health, the chair of the Rhode Island Certification Board, the Ocean Community YMCA, and an advisor to Brown University’s School of Public Health. Outside of work, Dan enjoys gardening and spending time at the beach with his husband, son, and two dogs.
